On January 28, 2025, a Hungarian MP launched a Facebook beauty contest for pregnant women titled “The Blessing of a Child.”

๐Ÿ“ธ Participants were required to submit photos, which could include other family members.
โŒ A photo of a relative could even be submitted in secret!

โš–๏ธ The contest rules did not mention any information regarding data processing, retention, or the rights of the individuals concerned.

๐Ÿšจ The Hungarian data protection authority ruled that this contest was not compliant with the GDPR and demanded the immediate cessation of unlawful data processing.
